MY ADVENTURES WITH WORDS I discovered etymology in ninth grade, and have been obsessed since then. It utterly fascinates me, as a poetic combination of history and language (two other fields I adore), and I’ve always wanted to know more. That curiosity drove me to study linguistics in college, read an unhealthy amount of books on the topic, and, most importantly, create this website so I could continue teaching myself while simultaneously spreading my joy of this science to others. So welcome to my lexophile’s sanctum, and I hope you find the study of word origins as engrossing as I do! I have here a blog, updated daily since November 2016, a page devoted to my homemade infographics, and a handful of other creative forays into etymology that you can discover by clicking around. Enjoy!
